It is often the case that there is a main asset that contains multiple assets within it; and each needs to be inspected or serviced in it's own right.
We refer to the main asset as the "Mother Asset" and the assets within as a "Child Asset" or its "Children"
How do you link a Child Asset to the Mother?
| • | The children need to all have a) the same Plant Number as the Mother and b) be at the same location. |
Inspecting a "Mother Asset" and its "Children"
1) The assets can be added in any order, the Mother Asset can be entered at any point e.g. the beginning or end
2) A Mother Asset is defined as an asset where the Serial Number = The Plant Number
3) Child assets are linked to the mother asset when it has the same plant number and is also location at the same CUSTOMER & SITE
3) The Child Assets can be assigned any Certificate Type
